About Dr. John Conca

Twenty-five years ago something happened that changed my life forever. In turn, it changed the lives of many others too. I remember it like it was yesterday. I was sick as a child, suffering from frequent bouts of tonsillitis. I missed so many days of school due to sickness that I had to repeat the second grade! Surgeons finally removed my tonsils but I was still sickly. But that’s not all!

When I was twenty years old, my sister-in-law convinced me to give her doctor a try, at least for a second opinion. The new doctor told me that if he could remove the misalignments in my neck and back and maintain it, my low resistance to colds might gradually correct itself. The doctor examined my back, showed me what was wrong and then “adjusted” my spine. The adjustments didn’t hurt at all; in fact, I enjoyed seeing this new doctor. Gradually, my problem got better! You can imagine my surprise when, not only wasn’t I getting sick every month, but also my health improved so much that I didn’t miss a day of school and graduated college with honors. And, by the way, this new doctor was a chiropractor. This experience had a profound impact on my life… and now I’m a chiropractor.

Years ago chiropractic saved me from a life of sickness and suffering, and now I do my best to help others this same way.

My website has photos of the Port of Los Angeles. I’m proud to say I have a contract with the ILWU union to treat its member Longshoremen and their dependents, using my proven chiropractic methods to keep our Heroes on the Docks working and moving pain-free! I also have 40 years professional experience in treating children with a variety of injuries and health problems. For example, my training includes helping pregnant moms whose baby to be in the breech position, successfully repositioning, without any invasive procedure. Otherwise they might have to have a C-section birth.

Let me tell you about a child who appeared to have suffered a possible birth injury, We’ll call him Timmy…

Timmy had been to all the regular doctors in town and he was just getting worse. Timmy’s mother pleaded with his pediatrician for a referral to a chiropractor. Finally, Timmy was 5 years old by the time his mother brought him in to see if I could help. Timmy’s head and neck was stuck – bent to one side and his right eyelid was completely shut due to nerve damage. It was a horrible sight. I examined Timmy’s spine and discovered several misalignments in his neck, which I concluded were caused during delivery of the birth process. I began a series of gentle spinal adjustments and gradually Timmy responded beautifully! Imagine the lifetime of difficulties he would have endured if it weren’t for chiropractic.

It’s strange how life is, because now people of all ages come to see me with their health problems. Also they come to me with their headaches, low back pain, chronic health problems, neck pain, shoulder/arm pain, whiplash from car accidents, backaches, ear infections, asthma, allergies, numbness in limbs, athletic injuries, just to name a few.

Here’s what some of your neighbors have to say:

Several times a day people thank me for helping them with their health problems. What I do is perform a specific spinal adjustment to remove nerve pressure, and the body responds by healing itself. We get tremendous results. It’s as simple as that!
